Drug Rehab Programs
What to Expect in a Drug Rehab Program
Drug rehab programs differ in the drug rehab services they offer and the philosophies they embrace. There are several key elements that any quality drug rehab must have if they are to be effective drug rehabilitation programs. Lakeview Health Systems provides drug rehab programs with these key components:
- Detoxification or drug detox
- Residential addiction treatment
- Relapse prevention programs
- Family rehabilitation programs

What is the Length of Stay in a Drug Rehab Program?
There is no definitive answer on what the appropriate length of time is to remain in a drug rehab program. However, research
shows that the longer a patient remains in drug rehab, the better their chances of long term recovery are. The average length of stay in a drug rehab program is between thirty to forty-five days. Lakeview's drug rehab staff evaluates each patient individually and based upon a number of factors, develops a drug rehab program to address each patient's specific issues.
A Drug Rehab Program and Dual Diagnosis
Lakeview has a board certified psychiatrist trained in addiction medicine, who along with the licensed professional staff evaluates each patient and the drug rehab program's ability to treat them effectively. Any effective drug rehabilitation staff realizes that in treating dual diagnosis, the drug addiction and psychiatric disorder must be treated concurrently. If one disorder is treated while the other is ignored, or not treated at the same time, relapse is almost certain.
