Dr. Lantie Jorandby examines the role that past trauma, including Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), can have on an individual’s likelihood of using drugs or alcohol as a means of coping with these past events. Unfortunately, this behavior can increase an individual’s tolerance to these substances and potentially lead to addiction.
